These Terms of Service outline the conditions under which Resonance Music Therapy provides music therapy services. By engaging Resonance Music Therapy, you agree to these terms.

Resonance Music Therapy is a sole practitioner music therapy practice operated by Barak Dar-El, Registered Music Therapist (RMT). ABN: 37 764 425 002. Based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, New South Wales, Australia.

Services
Resonance Music Therapy provides individual and group music therapy sessions delivered by a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Sessions are delivered in the client's home, aged care facility, school, community setting, or other agreed location across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Music therapy is a clinical allied health service. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency services.
Service Agreements
Before commencing services, clients or their authorised representatives will be provided with a Service Agreement outlining:

the services to be provided

session frequency, duration, and location

fees and billing arrangements

funding source (NDIS, Support at Home, or private)

consent to collect and use personal information
-
consent to photography and video (where applicable)
Services will not commence until a signed Service Agreement is in place.
Fees and Payment
Current fees are published on the Music Therapy Fees page. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.
NDIS participants: Invoices are issued following each session and submitted to the participant (self-managed) or plan manager (plan-managed) in accordance with NDIS pricing arrangements.
Support at Home participants: Invoices are issued to the participant's registered Support at Home provider following each session, in accordance with Support at Home program guidelines.
Private clients: Invoices are issued following each session. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date via bank transfer.
Late payments may incur a follow-up process. Resonance Music Therapy reserves the right to suspend services for accounts that remain unpaid beyond 30 days.
Cancellation and Rescheduling

More than 24 hours notice: No charge

Less than 24 hours notice or no show: Full session fee applies
For aged care clients, cancellations due to hospitalisation or acute health changes will be handled with flexibility and compassion. Please contact us as soon as possible.
Resonance Music Therapy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no fee will be charged and an alternative session will be offered.
Participant Rights and Responsibilities
Participants and their representatives have the right to:

receive clear information about the services being provided

provide or withdraw consent at any time

raise concerns or make a complaint without fear of reprisal

change or discontinue services at any time with reasonable notice

access their personal information held by Resonance Music Therapy
Participants and their representatives are expected to:

provide accurate and relevant information to support service delivery

treat the therapist with courtesy and respect

notify Resonance Music Therapy as early as possible of any changes to their circumstances, funding, or care arrangements

ensure a safe environment for sessions held in the home or other private setting

Professional Standards
Barak Dar-El operates in accordance with:

the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
Limitation of Liability
Resonance Music Therapy provides services in good faith and in accordance with professional standards. To the extent permitted by law, Resonance Music Therapy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the provision of services.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be published on this website. Continued engagement with Resonance Music Therapy following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
