Fees & Funding
NDIS participants
I work with NDIS participants who have self-managed or plan-managed funding, usually under the Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living support category.
NDIS rates
Session fees are aligned with the current NDIS price guide for therapeutic supports, currently set at $156.16 per hour for individual music therapy sessions.
-
Travel time is billed in line with NDIS guidelines and is capped at 30 minutes per session.
-
Additional non-labour costs (preparation & documentation) are usually 15 minutes of hourly rate
-
Initial assessment and progress reports are capped at 2.5 hours per report.
If you have NDIS funding and would like more detail about how it can be used for music therapy, please visit the NDIS & Funding page.
Private clients
Private session fees are the same base rate as NDIS (currently $156.16 per 60-minute session).
This applies to:
-
clients who are not using NDIS or aged-care funding
-
families who choose to self-fund while waiting for funding to start
-
older adults and people living with dementia who prefer to pay privately
Travel fees may apply for home visits within Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. I’m happy to discuss this with you before we begin.
Older adults, My Aged Care & Home Care Packages
If you or a family member is 65+ (50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and receiving support at home through My Aged Care – for example, a Home Care Package or the new Support at Home program – it may be possible to include music therapy as part of your allied health and therapy supports.
In these cases:
-
the hourly fee charged to your package is usually based on my standard professional rate,
-
your aged-care provider may add their own care management and administration costs, so the total cost to your package can vary.
The best next step is to:
-
Speak with your care manager or case manager, and
-
Ask whether individual music therapy with a Registered Music Therapist can be added to the care plan.
I am happy to provide a quote or speak with your provider to clarify how music therapy could fit into your existing supports.
