About Me

Hi, I'm Barak Dar-El, a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) and the founder of Resonance Music Therapy. I'm based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and provide mobile music therapy in homes, schools, community settings, and aged care facilities.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Australian Institute of Music and a Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne. I have additional training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and I am registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA).

I established Resonance Music Therapy to support, empower and enrich people's lives through a creative and enjoyable medium. My aim is to help each person work towards their own goals and improve their quality of life through music.

My professional experience includes early intervention and developmental delay, autistic and neurodivergent children and young people, individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, adults with neurological conditions and neurorehabilitation needs, and older adults living with dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Whether you are an NDIS participant, receiving support through the Support at Home program, or accessing music therapy privately, I will take the time to understand your needs and goals and create a personalised music therapy plan that feels meaningful and sustainable for you.

I look forward to meeting you.
